DOT Decoder
Enter the characters after the DOT letters on the tire sidewall.
How to read a DOT code
- The DOT code is moulded into the tire sidewall, after the letters “DOT”.
- First 4 characters — factory / plant code.
- Last 4 digits — production week and year: 3519 = week 35 of 2019.
- A 3-digit date (e.g. 359) means the tire was made in the 1990s (week 35, 1999).
- Industry guidance: replace tires older than 6–10 years, regardless of tread depth.
